HOW THE ENDLESS DIVE & DEEP SEA QUIZ WORK

The Endless Dive (also known as The Endless Dive Quiz or Krillion: The Endless Dive) is a browser-based reverse-popularity word and trivia game. Instead of rewarding the first answer that comes to mind, the game measures how uncommon your valid answer is within a verified finite list.

Each dive presents 7 categories with a 25-second timer per round. Every point you earn drops your bathysphere 10 metres deeper. Obvious textbook answers leave you floating in the Plankton Zone (+100m to +250m), while obscure verified answers plunge you into the Krillion Hadal Trench (+1,000m per round, 7,000m total).

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

THE ENDLESS DIVE & QUIZ FAQ

1. What is The Endless Dive?

The Endless Dive is a free browser-based deep-sea quiz and word rarity game where you answer 7 timed prompts in 25 seconds each. Rarer valid answers sink your submarine deeper toward the 7,000-metre Hadal Trench.

2. How do I score 7,000m in The Endless Dive Quiz?

Each point moves your dive 10 metres. To reach 7,000m, you need 100 points (+1,000m) in all 7 rounds by naming Krillion-tier answers—such as Oganesson (Group 18), Quecto (SI prefixes), or Tuvalu (Commonwealth nations).

3. Does it cost money to restart or play unlimited dives?

No. Every category and dive buddy on theendlessdive.com is 100% free with zero paywalls and no 24-hour wait. Click NEW DIVE ∞ or Restart anytime.

4. Why is Helium the smallest element in chemistry prompts?

Helium (He, Z=2) has two protons pulling on two 1s electrons with zero inner-shell shielding, shrinking its atomic radius to ~31 pm (smaller than Hydrogen at ~53 pm). In Group 18 prompts, however, pick Oganesson (Og) or Radon (Rn) for +1,000m depth!

5. Why is King Lear a masterpiece, and how does it score?

Shakespeare’s King Lear is celebrated for its double-plot tragedy of betrayal, madness on the heath, and raw human empathy. In our Shakespeare Tragedy category, King Lear lands in the Rare (+700m) zone, while Timon of Athens and Coriolanus hit +1,000m.

6. Where is my dive logbook saved?

Your last 30 dives—including deepest metre marks and round-by-round answers—are saved locally in your browser. Open LOGBOOK ⟲ inside the game anytime to view or export your history.
